AI sales roleplay lets reps practise sales conversations with an AI that plays the buyer: a cold call, a discovery call or an objection they keep losing to. With Talking Avatar Realistic Avatars voice agents, you write the buyer in the dashboard, give them a photorealistic face and a voice, and share a link with your team. Reps practise out loud, and a 10-minute practice call costs $0.60, with no seat licence.

Who it's for

For teams that learn by doing

  • Sales teams and SDR managers

Cold call openers, discovery and objection handling, practised before reps try them on real prospects.

  • Sales enablement and trainers

One scenario per product, persona or objection, so every rep practises the same call and you compare transcripts.

  • Sales courses and bootcamps

Students practise out loud between lessons, with a buyer who never runs out of patience for another try.

  • Customer success and support

Renewals, upsells and upset customers: the conversations people put off until they have to have them.

How it works

From call script to practice buyer in an afternoon

  1. 1

    Write the buyer

Start from scratch and describe who the buyer is, their company, their problem, the objections they raise and what it takes to win the next step, up to 20,000 characters.

  2. 2

Give them a face and a voice

Pick a realistic avatar and one of 23 voices, and set how long a practice call can last, up to 60 minutes. Ask the buyer to step out of character at the end and give feedback against your checklist.

  3. 3

    Share it with your team

Send reps the link, or put the buyer inside your training portal with an iframe. Every practice call is kept with its transcript, and a post-call webhook can send it to your own system.

Start from scratch
# Role
You are Jordan Lee, Head of Operations at a 200-person
logistics company, taking a discovery call from a sales rep.

# What you care about
- Drivers spend an hour a day on paperwork.
- You tried a tool last year and nobody used it.

# How to behave
- Be friendly but busy. Short answers at first.
- Share the paperwork problem only if they ask good questions.
- Object to price once, and to "another tool" once.
- Agree to a demo only if they connect it to your problem.

What reps and trainers get

Practice that feels like a real call

  • Out loud and face to face

Reps talk to a photorealistic buyer who answers in a natural voice, with lip sync, so practice is closer to a video sales call than typing into a chat.

  • Your scenarios and objections

The buyer follows what you write: their role, their problem, which objections to raise and how hard to push back.

  • Interruptions, like a real buyer

Reps can cut in at any time, and you choose how quickly the buyer jumps in, from patient to eager.

  • Feedback at the end

Write a checklist into the instructions, and the buyer steps out of character after the call to tell the rep what went well and what to work on.

  • A transcript of every practice call

Read what each rep said, coach from real examples, or send every transcript to your own system with a post-call webhook.

  • No seats to buy

Every rep can practise as often as they need: you pay $0.06 a minute of practice, and a quiet month costs nothing.

Scenarios

Calls your team can practise

Each scenario is an agent with its own instructions: who the buyer is, what they care about and how hard they push back. Write one for every call your reps find hard.

  • Cold call opener

A busy prospect who gives the rep 30 seconds before deciding whether to hang up.

  • Discovery call

A buyer with a real problem who only shares details when the rep asks good questions.

  • Pricing objection

"It's too expensive", raised again after the first answer, until the rep shows the value.

  • Competitor objection

"We already use another tool": the rep has to find what isn't working with it.

  • Renewal at risk

A customer who hasn't seen results and is thinking about cancelling.

  • Upset customer

Someone who had a bad experience, for customer success and support teams.

FAQ

AI sales roleplay questions

Sales practice is one of several things a voice agent can do. See all voice agent use cases.

What is AI sales roleplay?

AI sales roleplay is practice for sales conversations with an AI that plays the buyer. Reps run a cold call, a discovery call or an objection, and the AI answers in character. With Talking Avatar, the buyer is a photorealistic avatar that speaks, so reps practise out loud and face to face.

Can the AI buyer push back like a real one?

It follows the instructions you write: which objections to raise, when to repeat them, what makes them agree to the next step and how much detail to share. Make it easy for new reps and tougher for experienced ones by giving each level its own agent.

Does it score reps?

Not automatically. You can ask the buyer to step out of character at the end and give feedback against your checklist, and you get a transcript of every call to coach from. If you need scorecards and dashboards for every rep, a dedicated sales training platform has them.

Can reps practise cold calls?

Yes, as a call in the browser: the rep opens the link and talks with a microphone. The buyer doesn't call a phone number, but the conversation, the opener and the objections play out the same way.

How much does AI sales roleplay cost?

$0.06 a minute of practice, billed per second, with the avatar, the voice and the AI included. A 10-minute practice call costs $0.60, and a rep who practises 10 minutes every working day costs $13.20 a month. There are no seat licences.

Can different reps practise different scenarios?

Yes. Make one agent per scenario, persona or difficulty level, and share each link with the reps who need it. Each rep talks to the buyer in their own call.

Can it role-play in other languages?

Yes. The buyer replies in the language the rep speaks, and you can set the language in the instructions. Make a test call in yours first, because voices and pronunciation vary by language.
